rolling hills and pretty green!

if you look closely at the top of this hill there are giant windmills.

CAST IS OFF!! the tech gave him some headphones to wear b/c the saw was a little loud. he said "baby ones" (baby headphones like daddy)

he really did a great job and didn't freak out near as much as i thought he would. Ryan took him in for the follow up xray and he screamed the whole time in there...but the rest was easy. we have to go back in 6 months to be sure it's not growing longer than his left leg:)
after we left the office there was a little gold fish pond outside the doors so i set him down and we threw gold fish into the water for them. he has done great since! i'm not sure who's happier, ryan and i or cole! WE CAN GO SWIMMING! and had our first bath without a bag in a MONTH!

appartment life

we've been looking for some houses...the housing market is very competitive here....we've just physically been to one showing and there was only one other guy there...but apparently when you go to some of them there are 6-10 families there. We get to pick up the murano tomorrow and will hopefully start seeing some more. We are anxious to be settled! On another postive note, Cole has pooped and asked to go potty a lot. We are gonna work a little more on that today..hoping to get some consistency!! We are also meeting some super nice people. We have been out to dinner every night except the first one since we've been here...so awesome to have some great friends already here!!

here are a few pics from where we are staying. originally we reserved a TLF (temporary living facility) on base, but it was not pet friendly. sooo we canceled that and Donavan and Erin hooked us up with this place!! it's in Ramstein-Miesenbach, a cute little village right outside base.

the awesome windows that open up so you can go out on the terrace-no screens on most windows here. and most of them open all the way up and at the top for "venting"

The boys have been decent since we've been here. We now all have colds and are a little sleep deprived but they are playing pretty well together!

morgan, sunning on the patio:) The weather has been beautiful! They say this summer has been cold and rainy, but it's been sunny and 70's since we've been here! SOO nice!
